Amazing hotel, romantic and ideally placed for the old town and sights. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was beautiful. Great views from our room over the city to the mountains.

We will definitely return to this hotel. It is very traditional and has limited facilities (no pool or gym) but is extremely comfortable.

The hotel Bristol is in a superb location for visiting the old town. It is tastfully decorated in keeping with the period of the hotel with an excellent bathroom and heaps of towels. Must try the hotel restaurants invitation to try three courses off there a la carte menu for 28euros, a fantastic meal at a bargain price.

We went to the opening of the Christmas market, beautiful atmosphere in beautiful surroundings. An absolute must! Also fantastic Christmas/Easter shop with millions of hand painted baubles, we spent a day in there, and again had wonderful service from lovely staff.

Where do I start? Definately visit the fortress. You get some amazing views of Salzburg and the mountains. The Residence Palace is a must as well, amazing decor, painted ceilings with a good audio tour. In the old town look out for a little shop selling decorated eggs, it is amazing!!

The staff were exceptionally welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was lvely and clean, everything is well cared for throghout. The breakfast room is beautiful and the food amazing. The evening restaraunt is delicious and top quality. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We spent our honeymoon here and I would not have changed anything at all. A lovely location close to everything. Couldnt have wished for more. FANTASTIC!

Definately visit Hlebrun Gardens and get the bus to St. Gilgen and go on the cable car there, the views are the best. We have been to many of the surrrounding locations and St Gilgen is the most beautiful.Avoid teh ice caves, its a 40 minute treck (if you are fit) and 1400 steps, there are far more places of beauty to try.
