We had an excellent stay at the Markus Sittikus hotel. The rooms were pleasant and functional & comfortable the staff efficient and friendly. The location was very good being within 0.5k of the railway station where we arrived in Salzburg. Very easy to access the old town and The Mirabel Gardens, from here and in a pleasant nice location generally. The street was quiet and the breakfast more than satsfactory and plentiful in its continental buffet style. We would certainly stay again!
There was no air-conditioning in our rooms on the 4th floor: and the weather was very close/warm. One room did have a fan but the other did not. The bar is slightly limited but satsifactory. Do take advantage of the nice little garden...which you might miss if you did not notice how to access it. Very pleasant on a warm July evening. A good value hotel

This was a small friendly hotel within walking distance of the railway station and the old town, close to major bus routes further afield. The single room was small but fine if you are planning to spend most of your time out.

Good hotel if you like quaint & not large modern hotels. Staff very helpful. Shame no snacks served during the day.
Top Tip
Markus Sittikus is very handy for sightseeing. Worth visiting Hotel Stein rooftop for a drink & to see the city at night. Not good for meals, so eat before you go for a drink.

The hotel was good the only disappointing factor was the basic rooms. Two beds, table and chair and en suite, just didn't look welcoming when you opened the door.
