Housed in a building that dates back to 1399, the Stein Hotel is located directly on the Salzach, overlooking Salzburg’s old town centre. Sections of the hotel that are listed as historic sites have been thoughtfully renovated, yet there is no lack of modern amenities.
The 55 guestrooms are characterised by a modern and stylish look and include all the modern comforts, as well as sound proof windows, to ensure a comfortable stay. They are clean and well maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms.
In the “Salon Otto Wagner” a varied and delicious buffet breakfast is available from 7.00am to 10.00am daily and from 7.00am to 11.00am at the weekend, comprising coffee, premium teas, fresh pastries, fruit, cold sausages, ham and cheeses. Offering panoramic views of Salzburg, the hotel’s Steinterrace hosts a wide variety of customers – from students to hipsters to established members of society – and is open to its guests daily from 12.00pm to midnight. The friendly staff serves hot and cold snacks until the terrace closes.
